The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary
Provide global Engineering leadership for InSinkErator by establishing the Engineering strategy, objectives, plans and priorities that support the overall business strategies.  This leader must work closely with InSinkErator leadership and Whirlpool Engineering leadership to ensure alignment of engineering priorities with the business goals of the organization. Responsible for managing all aspects of the engineering and development operations, ensuring the safety, quality and productivity of the product lines and successful delivery of projects, and driving innovation within our organization.
Your responsibilities will include
Technically oversee the product lines within the business. 
Develop and execute the overall engineering and development strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Collaborate with the business and key functional areas to understand the needs of the business, prioritizing focus areas for execution and aligning resources to execution. Create departmental KPIs to track performance and identify inefficiencies to improve upon. 
Prepare and manage annual budgets, appropriation requests, and long-term investments. 
Lead and manage the engineering and development teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster an inclusive and high-performance culture.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering and development teams, implementing best practices and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Establish and maintain effective project management methodologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Manage the budget for the engineering and development departments, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Responsible for Intellectual Property and competitive technology benchmarking.

Minimum requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 10 years of business and Engineering experience
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in engineering discipline, demonstrating a progression in management experience to the senior level.

Preferred skills and experiences
MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred
Experience in design, manufacturing and assembly processes within electro-mechanical domain
Proven ability in managing global organization with global project management abilities.
Ability to manage ambiguity and drive projects in an evolving technological landscape.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
