We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to elevate VelocityEHS' Mid-Market and Enterprise Sales teams and Managers. The ideal candidate will leverage their strategic agility, operational savvy, and motivational leadership to build pipeline and close new logos. This role includes leading sales activities, providing mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture.
The Director of Sales will report directly to the AVP of Sales and play a crucial role in shaping and executing the sales strategy. This position is remote but requires approximately 10-20% travel for customer visits, leadership meetings, and tradeshows.
Key Responsibilities Empower your team to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quota targetsIncrease the velocity of deals by driving results through enabling effective sales process navigation from prospecting through closing processWork across cross-functional teams, specifically Account Management, Customer Success, Marketing, and ProductDirect team on day-to-day sales activities with a focus on delivering key sales metricsConduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with managers to provide guidance, support, and feedback, ensuring alignment with team goals and individual development plansImplement performance reviews and performance management strategies to continuously improve team effectiveness and individual growthHelp define and develop the company's Mid-Market Hunting strategyLeverage the tech stack, including Navigator, Outreach, and Salesforce, to optimize sales processes, track performance, and drive efficiencyServe as a strategic partner to the VP of Sales and Chief Revenue OfficerRegularly Forecast bookings with high accuracy leveraging sales process stages and deal inspectionUnderstand industry-specific trends and landscapes in both EHS and SaaS SalesRun Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for the leadership team and support your team in preparing and conducting their own QBRsDevelop and recruit a talent-rich team and foster a performance-based cultureLead through change, providing clarity and executing plans with urgencyMentor and guide managers and sales representatives in building their careers while achieving sales objectives, quotas, and targetsMinimum Skills and Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales, including 5+ years of successful sales leadership experience specifically with new business and managing managersBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceProven ability to drive teams through the sales process from start to finishFamiliarity with sales technology deployed in SaaS sales environmentsDemonstrated experience in forecasting, business strategy and planningStrong analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills (Fluent in English)Appetite and capacity to learn quickly and continuouslyAgile, ready, and able to quickly pivot in a dynamic environmentPreferred Skills and Qualifications Experience within the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) industryProven experience in managing and leading remote teams effectivelyWe welcome and encourage diversity in the workplace.
