The position is based in Miami, Florida. THE POSITION Job Summary: Our client seeks a highly skilled Director of Software Quality Assurance who can bring both technical expertise and strategic leadership to their organization, ensuring that software products not only meet but exceed the rigorous standards of their company and industry demand. As the Software Director of Quality Assurance, you will oversee a team of 50+ QA engineers to ensure the highest standards of software quality and reliability. Reporting directly to the VP of Software Engineering, your leadership will be pivotal in refining our QA processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and customer satisfactionDevelop, implement, and oversee comprehensive quality assurance strategies and classification systems to ensure precise issue tracking and resolutionManage and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to industry best practices in software testingLead initiatives to expand the use of automated testing and implement advanced testing tools and frameworks across multiple projectsEstablish clear definitions for software defects, performance issues, usability issues, and other categories as part of our new issue classification taxonomyCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes with Agile scrum development, operations, and customer serviceRegularly review and enhance testing protocols, procedures, and metrics to align with evolving technology landscapes and business objectivesMaintain a proactive stance on software quality, identifying potential issues before they affect clients or internal operationsCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing updates on QA efforts and outcomes, and advocating for necessary resources and changes to improve qualityUphold and advocate for the highest quality standards and security in all QA practicesTHE CANDIDATE Candidate Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing sizeable QA teamsProven track record in developing and leading QA strategies that encompass both manual and automated testing environmentsExtensive experience with QA tools and frameworks such as Selenium, qTest, Azure, K6, Postman, JMeter, and AppiumStrong understanding of Agile scrum software development life cycles, QA lifecycleA strategic vision and passion for maintaining and elevating software qualityA metrics-driven approach to QA, using data to guide decisions and improve processesA commitment to staying at the forefront of technology and integrating new tools and practices to enhance QA effectivenessBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering and or relevant experience in Software QA environmentExcellent problem-solving skills, ability to conduct detailed risk assessments, root cause analysis and capability to work under tight deadlinesStrong leadership skills, with experience in training, mentoring, and building cohesive teamsFluent in Spanish and English, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
