Work Schedule: This position requires a dependable self-starter who is willing to begin work early in the morning, can operate effectively without direct supervision, and is capable of safely leading a team to complete tasks.
Additionally, during the growing season, night applications may be necessary.
What you will do: Operate drones to support various agricultural activities, such as planting seed, monitoring crop health, and applying fertilizers or pesticides.Gather data through drone flights and analyze it to make informed decisions about crop management and yield optimization.Oversee the maintenance of drone equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.Ensure all drone operations comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.Continuously seek ways to improve drone technology and its application in agriculture to enhance productivity and sustainability.What you will bring: 2+ years of agricultural experience.2+ years of experience operating drones or 250 hours drone flight log.Qualify for and obtain an FAA Class II (2nd) medical certificate before the first day of employment.JPC/QAL License.Operate agricultural spray drones following FAA regulations and company guidelines.Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the proper functioning of the drone and its spraying equipment.Safely handle, mix, and load pesticide and fertilizer chemicals according to label directions and work orders.Collaborate with agricultural professionals to plan and execute precise pesticide and fertilizer applications based on crop needs and growth stages.Maintain and troubleshoot UAS equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.Monitor weather conditions and other factors that may affect drone operations, making informed decisions to ensure safety and effectiveness.Keep detailed records of flights, applications, and equipment maintenance for compliance and reporting purposes.Serve as a trusted resource in assisting in the development and improvement of UAS.The estimated salary range is $70,000-$90,000 annually for a Drone Pilot Applicator.
