EF Testing - Requisition for Centralized Group DSupervise the Grocery Category Managers and Assistants, as assigned, in all aspects of Category Strategy, Sales, assortment, Pricing and creation of Programs that align with our Customer 1st initiatives. Responsible and Accountable to achieve Category Sales, units, profit dollars and growth objectives. Lead in the Development and direction of Category strategies to connect with our Customers and drive Customer metrics for continued increases in households and share of wallet. Provide mentoring and consistent Development practices and timely feedback through Performance discussions. Essential Job Functions:Serve as a strategic partner with the Kroger Corporate Leadership and our supplier and vendor associations to create a distinct competitive advantage to enhance the company position as a leader in the grocery retail operation.Communicate with Division Grocery Merchandisers within categories of responsibility and the Department.Achieve Category Sales, profit dollars, growth objectives, EBITDA, household and loyalty development, and share of market in assigned categories.Coordinate teams in developing and communicating corporate strategic plans.Provide strategic category direction in assortment, pricing, sales plans by division, advertising plans, demos, rollers, and special programs.Negotiate corporate contracts.Assist and build loyalty marketing programs, LCM's, TE's, etc.Assist and support Director in the building of financial budgets.Responsible for reaching corporate brand budgets and share goals for assigned team categories.Assist in development of strategic category reviews from a corporate and division level.Maintain positive trade relations and develop strategic alliances with suppliers.Review and communicate to divisions on pertinent category information.Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.Minimum Position Qualifications:2 years Senior Manager in Merchandising (Assortment & Segmentation, Sales, Category Management, etc.)Ability to speak to all levels of the organization.Knowledge of customer management tools.User of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Desired Previous Job Experience:2-3 years sales promotion.2-3 years assortment and segmentation management.2-3 years procurement.Nearest Major Market: Philadelphia
