SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is looking for a Electrical Engineer to provide on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS).
This role supports the Engineering and Design Division (D4) of the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.
Responsibilities Include:
Prepare detailed electrical engineering analysis, calculations, and designs for various projects, including power generation systems, distribution systems, lighting systems, energy-saving controls, and more.
Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD for in-house and A/E design bid-build and design-build projects.
Conduct research on electrical systems, equipment, or techniques to innovate project designs and specifications.
Provide expertise on the latest electrical materials and construction methods, prepare technical reports, and operate electrical design software such as SKM and AGi32.
Collaborate with project stakeholders and other engineering disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with project requirements.
Provide independent and professional specialized electrical engineering support for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands.
Qualifications include: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering is desired.
Completion of a course of studies accredited by ABET for an Electrical Engineering program, supplemented by hands-on facilities design experience, preferred.
Strong knowledge and practical application of electrical engineering concepts, theories, principles, practices, and techniques for shore-based engineering projects.
Familiarity with DoD and Navy guide specifications, industry codes and standards, and local, state, federal, and foreign laws affecting electrical engineering design.
Proficiency in budgeting, planning, project management techniques, and coordination of project teams.
Understanding of related architectural and engineering fields and their impacts on electrical engineering design.
Experience in conducting field evaluations, generating review comments, and ensuring compliance with code standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT software, Microsoft Office products, and electrical engineering design and analysis software.
Work Environment Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
