Job Details
Key responsibilities include successfully planning, managing, and executing projects on-time and within budget while maintaining current client relationships and securing additional project work.
This position will prepare project proposals and ensure project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable and within budget.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assumes Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager role and manages assigned projects, including coordination and or direction for the design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis
Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects
Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects
Lead design and construction meetings
Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities
Design of overall power distribution system
Design of fire alarm system
Perform calculations to support system designs
Perform CA tasks, review submittals/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend CA meetings
Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
Assists in Marketing/BD efforts in coordination with Marketing Director
As other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Proven track record completing projects, strong project planning and delivery experience
Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication
Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive and client-focused
Ability to influence senior-level leadership
Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
Ability to work under pressure with demanding deadlines with a high sense of urgency
Ability to develop business and promote business relationships through client interaction
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, and Revit
Proficient in Bluebeam
Proficient in MS Office Suite including, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Project Management Certification, preferred
EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of recent experience in Electrical Engineering design with an architectural or MEP firm
LEED accreditation is highly desired
Advanced in project management, including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
Advanced interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships
Advanced in planning and organization skills with the ability to lead multiple-discipline project teams
Advanced in Project Management, including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
