Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician with experience in industrial or construction environments to join our team for a batch plant construction project on Tinian Island.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working on large-scale industrial or construction projects, with knowledge of electrical systems, installation, and maintenance.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work complies with local regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Electrical Installations:
Perform electrical installations related to the batch plant construction, including wiring, conduit installation, and the setup of electrical systems to power plant machinery and equipment. System Maintenance & Repairs:
Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment during the construction phase, troubleshooting any electrical issues that arise on-site to ensure smooth project operations. Equipment Wiring & Connection:
Wire and connect equipment such as motors, generators, and control panels in accordance with blueprints and technical specifications. Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with national and local electrical codes, as well as company safety standards.
Identify potential hazards and follow all safety protocols to mitigate risks. Testing & Inspection:
Test and inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Use diagnostic tools to detect issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs as required. Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with other construction personnel, including engineers, project managers, and subcontractors, to ensure timely and efficient completion of electrical work within project deadlines. Documentation:
Keep accurate records of electrical installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Document any changes made to original plans and provide reports to project managers as needed. Preventive Maintenance:
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of the equipment being used in the construction process.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in industrial or construction settings. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant electrician certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in a batch plant or similar industrial projects. Proficient in using electrical testing tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems. Understanding of safety standards, electrical codes, and regulations relevant to the construction industry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote and challenging environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
