Job Summary The Electronics Technician on the Automation Quality team will be responsible for loading programs and parameters on products, testing products and entering test data, performing basic diagnostics, and conducting product verification on incoming materials.
Responsibilities: Test incoming products and enter data, load established programs and parametersIncoming quality inspection of all production from subcontractors and fixing of some non-conforming consigned items. Examples: plastic covers, extrusions, plates, etc.Failure Analysis – Troubleshooting rejected units and determining why they failedSoldering and component rework (through-hole components/surface mount). Post soldering and cleaning (mechanical means such as spraying, brushing, and other methods of application may be used in conjunction with cleaning solution).Unbox products, sort, and stock products in the warehouseCommunicate quality or compliance concernsRequirements: Experience – 2+ years of experience in the electronics industry is preferredEffectively use basic test instruments, e.g. digital voltmeter, oscilloscope, etc.Skill with basic electro-mechanical hand toolsCapable of building and testing prototype instrumentationRecord data and test resultsMinimum intermediate soldering skill level. Willing to train the right candidate with minimal experience.Education – High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
