Job Title: EMT Job Specialty: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - ER Tech Job Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Days/Evenings (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Licensed EMT Certifications: BLS required; PALS, ACLS, EMT, EMT-B preferred Must-Have: - Vital signs- 12 lead EKG- AED/Defibrillator- Splinting- Wound Care- Crutch Training- Patient Care Tech with a minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Vocational degree preferred Job Description: - 7-week contract for a position specializing in EMT duties.- Work setting experience in Acute Care, Urgent Care, Trauma Level 3, and Teaching is required.- Preference for candidates with experience in Trauma Levels 1 and 2, Urgent Care, and Children's Hospital.- Responsibilities include assisting with patient care and performing tasks such as vital sign checks, EKGs, and wound care.- Weekend work is required, potentially up to every other weekend.- Clinicians may be floated to med/surg or SCU units as attendants if needed.- Experience with Epic (Excellian) charting is preferred.- Special orientation of 8 hours required.- Modules for pre-start need to be completed, and the completion of onsite modules is recorded.This role promises a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to work in a Level 3 trauma center.
