Full job description CITY OF MILFORD SEASONAL EXAM NO. 24-46 ENGINEERING ASSISTANT POSTING DATE: June 7, 2024 CLOSING DATE: June 21, 2024 NOTICE TO ALL APPLICANTS: This opening is available to all City employees and the general public. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the City Engineer or designee performs works in the field and office involving but not limited to the inspection of storm and sanitary sewer installations, house connections, curbs, sidewalks, roads, etc. Utilizes surveying and drafting instruments in the field or office. Employees are responsible for the application of technical knowledge in the formation and preparation of inspection reports and progress estimates during construction. Work includes marking out locations of sewers in response to Call Before You Dig excavation notices. Performs technical observation of construction services on a variety of projects to document compliance with specifications or permit requirements.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Graduation from a high school or trade school with AUTOCAD experience or Engineering college student or a combination of education and training experience.
SALARY RANGE: The position is hourly; salary limits are as follows based on experience: Minimum……………$16.00
