Position Objective

Services Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service with a student centered, equity mindset to all Clover Park Technical College students, faculty, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate supports the College's mission of Educating Tomorrow's Workforce by enrolling students in college programs, assisting students modify their class schedules, reviewing their transcripts and other placement measures for entrance requirements, and answering inquiries via telephone, email, inperson, and other approved communication/service channels following CPTC's policies and procedures as they relate to Enrollment Services.

Duties and Tasks (Essential Functions)

Duty: Perform admissions, enrollment, transcript evaluations, verifications, and other department processes.
Tasks include Process admission applications to include fraudulent reviews and research.
Process enrollment transactions.
Processing transcript requests, and enrollment/degree verifications.
Assist with quarterly registration processes. Assist in the drop for non-payment process.
Credentials (transcript) evaluations, prior learning assessment, and other credit posting. Assist in awarding of and documenting credentials earned.
•Use queries and other tools to pull and share requested data related to Enrollment Services and as directed by supervisor. Enter student data into college student management system and review transactions for accuracy.
Troubleshoot transactional or processing errors related to Enrollment Services, i.e., unable to register, account holds, etc.
Answer inquiries in various modalities regarding admissions, registration, and other department and college services and processes.
Provide excellent customer service following CPTC C.A.R.E.S./student experience to all stakeholders.

Duty: Assist in department, divisional, and college engagement, retention efforts, professional development, and other activities/projects.
Tasks includeParticipate and assist in admissions and registration events, i.e., open lab registration, group registration, training, etc.
Participate and assist in department information sessions, events, Q&A's, etc.
Participate and assist in the development and implementation of engagement and retention efforts. Participate and assist in developing and implementing departmental and divisional goals, activities, and projects.
Attend conferences as funding allows and as requested by the supervisor.
Serve on campus committees as assigned.
Participate in professional development and ongoing learning, including EDI training

Duty: Other Duties as assigned
Tasks includeFiling of student records.
Actively contribute to the college's strategic plan, the enrollment management plan, and the EDI strategic plan.
Assist in the quarterly drop for non-payment process as needed.Archive student records as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma.
Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role.
Experience in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy. Intermediate experience and knowledge of computer applications such as Word and SharePoint.
Ability to work under pressure and handle high volume services, including stressful situations and interactions.
Ability to problem-solve and critical think, organize, and prioritize Preferred Qualifications Associates degree.
Experience working in a college office environment, preferably in Student Services.
Experience with Washington State Community and Technical College and Student Management System or PeopleSoft.
Intermediate experience and knowledge of database, SQL, Access, or Excel.
Ability to speak, read, and/or write in a second language, i.e., Spanish, Korean, or Russian.Application InstructionsComplete application

Clover Park Technical College is located in Lakewood, Washington.
Our college has a rich history of professional and technical education dating back to the 1940s, when Clover Park School District established a War Production program, training civilians as auto mechanics, aircraft-service mechanics, ship-fitters, welders and blueprint readers.
Now, CPTC offers more than forty programs in Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Human Services, Business, Hospitality, Science Technology, Engineering, Transportation and Trades.
