Job Description: The ideal candidate will be expected to capture processes using BPMN, identify areas for improvement, understand complex business and IT solutions, coordinate with stakeholder teams across business and technical units to develop documentation and produce artifacts consumable by various audiences and stakeholders, utilize enterprise architecture tools and processes to achieve the deliverables identified for each project, facilitate requirements sessions with a variety of business units, and perform operational support for Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities: Analyzes across multiple data domains, defines strategies to reduce data redundancy, improve data availability, and accessibility by partnering with technical teams, and delivers a maintainable and reusable data architecture.Analyzes data attributes from multiple systems and develops Common Information Models. Governs data decisions related to data model design, data access patterns, and data services.Designs and develops Databases, Data Warehouse and Multidimensional Databases/Data Stores.Maintains data models and develops strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and implementation of Database/Data Stores.Experience Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent.At least two (2) years of experience developing enterprise architectures.At least one (1) year of experience modeling using Business Process Modeling Notation.Experience researching technical and financial matters and summarizing findings.Competency in modern software development methodologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of IT IL, working knowledge of SQL.Knowledge of Agile / Scrum and project management methodologies.Knowledge of databases/data stores.Advanced Excel and analytical skills.Motivated to independently achieve results.Experience Desired: Experience with Federal Agencies.Experience with Archi, SparxEA, or business process modeling tools.Experience with ToGAF framework and ArchiMate modeling language.Program Management Professional (PMP) accreditation.Local to DC a plus.Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired: An Enterprise Architecture certification, such as Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) is required.Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision.Short Term Disability.Life Insurance.401(k) Savings Plan.Tuition Assistance Program.Paid Time Off (PTO).11 Holidays each year.SimIS, Inc. is an AA / EOE / M / F / Disability / VET / Drug Free Employer.
