Job Title: Environmental Technician
Job Description
As an Environmental Technician, you will be instrumental in supporting field site assessments and the operations and maintenance of treatment systems. Your role includes managing investigation-derived waste, developing monitoring wells, and sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water. You will collaborate with multiple clients and contractors across both commercial and government sectors. Your responsibilities also entail collecting field samples, preparing data quality reports, and communicating effectively with field personnel to ensure successful field mobilization.
Minimum Job Requirements:
+ Strong comprehension, and critical thinking skills
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Good note-taking skills and attention to detail
+ Able to research, analyze, interpret, and present data.
+ Able to carry out multiple priorities simultaneously
+ Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
+ Ability to lift 40 pounds
+ Effective verbal communication skills with clients, colleagues, vendors, and subcontractors
Education and Experience:
+ Associate degree or certificate in applied science or science-related technology
+ Minimum of 3 years as a technician in environmental field support or related field.
+ Candidates with only high school diploma must have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a technician in an environmental related field.

This is a contract to hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Birmingham, Alabama.
Work Environment
Outdoor commercial construction projects with minimal travel required, primarily local travel. (Overnight seldom)
