Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Executive Director at our Cedarhurst of Newburgh community.
As an Executive Director, you will have the opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our residents daily! You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operation, ensuring alignment with the company's values, and driving performance excellence.
As an Executive Director, you will impact the lives of our residents by – Being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Community including profit and loss, marketing, sales, regulatory compliance, maintaining high customer satisfaction, meeting financial expectations, and ensuring a quality workforce. Making business decisions based on the best interests of the company and its employees. Managing three to five (3-5) subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of approximately 30-50 employees in the areas of Housekeeping, Resident Care, Maintenance, Dietary and Office. Providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of each department. Creating a professional environment that represents the vision and values of the Company. Meeting/exceeding budgets and targeted community performance goals. Fostering a sales-oriented environment within the community by supporting the Director of Sales through conducting tours, following up with calls, and facilitating weekly top prospect sales meetings alongside the Director of Sales and Director of Nursing, ensuring the community is consistently prepared for tours. Demonstrating competence in regulatory compliance and ensuring that the property stays in regulatory compliance with all regulatory agencies. Hiring, orienting, supervising, evaluating, reviewing, and appropriately disciplining subordinate staff. Attending corporate sponsored meetings and training sessions as required. Actively participating in networking and community-based group(s) that are relevant to the Company's business. Adhering to the organization's core standards, communication expectations, mission, and core values. Ensuring alignment with owners' vision for service quality and value creation. Ensuring effective communication is being utilized by community staff with the residents' families concerning residents' care, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing. Working well with others and taking direction from management, as well as taking initiative with the capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand/move, communicate, and identify written information. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently; occasionally lift and/or move up to 200 pounds with assistance. Other duties as assigned. To become an Executive Director, you will need – Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2-3 years of prior management experience, preferably in senior living. Applicable state licensure. CPR or BLS certification preferred. Experience with accounting functions such as A/P, A/R, posting ledgers, balancing, and reconciling accounts. Experience with processing new hire information & payroll along with basic human resources experience is preferred. Be able to demonstrate proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g., Explorer, Chrome, and Fire Fox), Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and any HR related systems if applicable.
