The External Logistics Shipping Coordinator functions as a liaison between External Logistics and Internal Logistics/Warehouse. The role coordinates parts shipments associated with Liebherr Mining Equipment Newport News Co.
Responsibilities Liaison between External Logistics for Parts, OHT and Internal Logistics/Warehouse. Daily status updates of pending shipments located in LME Warehouse. Improve load factor efficiency by using load tool and psychical verification to determine container size before pick an pack. Organization of Container Freight such as order, status update, invoicing, picture taking of completed container, documentation forwarding etc. Makes sure signed BOLs are send to forwarder. Closing of transports in Lissy after pick up. Set up of Non Lissy miscellaneous shipments based on SRF – supporting function. Backup/ Support of EL Operations team for Track and Trace of Shipments in Transit. Validation of loading activity of OHT including photos, survey, validation of oversize measurements and compliance with oversize permits / regulations) Dock management + Pickup Ref / "WhosOnLocation" after implementation. This Control of any carriers that cross LME gates including documentation of detention times and charges. Claim - monitoring physical incident during pickup and delivery of goods within the facility - Verify that Loading / Shipping safety and Security operations (ensure appropriate PPE for all loading/trucking people, are correctly loading/lashing/dunnage, etc) are implemented and respected. Working hours 9:30-6:00 pm (delegate leve1 after 3:00 pm to this person). This job is not a desk job it requires to change locations within the Liebherr facility to perform tasks. Competencies Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and 3 years related experience (degree preferred). Has strong verbal and written interpersonal skills. Has strong organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as BaaN, LN or SAP R3. Ability to work independently and in a team. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task. Ability to manage stress. Ability to solve problems. Ability to adapt to change as necessary. Travel domestically and internationally up to 5% of the time. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license and passport.
