Facility Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating repairs as needed.

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Degree in Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

One (1) years of related experience
Valid Drivers License, Lean / Six Sigma Yellow Belt
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC system checks, plumbing repairs, electrical maintenance, and general building repairs.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate repairs with external contractors as needed.

Maintain and repair building systems, including lighting, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and reorder supplies as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, and perform tasks in accordance with established safety procedures.

Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events and meetings.

Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment manuals.

Collaborate with other members of the facilities team and provide support as needed.

Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance practices.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours.

Ability to lift and handle heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

Manual dexterity for handling small parts and components.

Comfort working in various weather conditions.

Extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
