FNP will assess, treat, and care for patients from birth to 100 years plus.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: 1) assessing patients by collecting medical history and pertinent health information and performing initial physical examinations; 2) performing routine and non-routine examinations to determine best and most effective care plan; 3) place orders for diagnostic tests and interpreting within scope of practice; 4) diagnosing patients based on examination, symptoms, and test results with oversight and assistance from collaborating or other physician; 5) recording exam and test results in EHR system; 6) developing and implementing an appropriate, individualized plan of treatment and care for each patient tailoring to special beliefs or preferences of patient; 7) prescribing medications and overseeing alternative forms of medical treatment within scope of practice; and 8) perform other duties assigned in accordance with departmental and/or facility needs within scope of knowledge, training, and education.
Completion of an accredited post-graduate Nurse Practitioner education program with a Master's degree in nursing, possessing an unencumbered NP licensure in state of Missouri with prescriptive privileges, and having a minimum of 3-4 years of clinical experience as an NP are required for this job.
