To provide assistance to the Superintendent in all field operations for a specific project.
Conducts and oversees the physical layout of work and coordinates with the Superintendent to ensure compliance with contract specifications by the Company and subcontractors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Management Skills: Engage in site layout, cost estimating, construction planning, scheduling, material procurement, quality control and job site safety.
Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of project-specific quality control measures.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of four-week look ahead schedules.
Assist with the documentation of all actions dealing with actual or possible claims/legal action.
Assist in the oversight of laborer responsibilities and work with foreman to ensure structures are built according to the contract requirements.
Attend and document weekly Foreman meetings.
Assist with the timely completion of all punch lists and work completion lists.
Interpersonal Skills: Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, inspectors, architect, subcontractors, project team and all CWD departments).
Motivate and build teamwork/morale in the project team.
Promote CWD "Values" with the project team, client and subcontractors.
Technical Skills: Assist the Superintendent with the initial preparation and maintenance of schedules.
Assist with the development, maintenance and enforcement of project site safety programs.
Assist with the coordination and management of material deliveries.
Assist with the implementation of SWPPP measures and documentation.
Assist in maintaining a complete and accurate set of working documents pertaining to the project.
Assist in preparation of daily reports related to work crews, project progress and issues.
Assist in the coordination of all field inspections, mock-ups and testing.
Assist in executing a variety of basic field duties related to general construction.
Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting.
Possess knowledge of all documents associated with the project.
Requirements Qualifications Required: Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field or 1-3 years of project field experience.
Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
Basic familiarity with Viewpoint, P6, Prolog or other CMS applications.
Understanding of construction administration processes, including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, Submittals and material procurement.
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Time Management- strong project management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
