Job Description Includes: Working in various places to prepare Boundary, Topographic, ALTA and Construction layout surveys Ability to interpret field information and the awareness to help prepare a survey of premises. Operating Topcon GPS and Total Stations to collect site information (we have incorporated Topcon Brand Instruments) Ability to learn on the job from others with experience in surveying Process field data and upload files to CAD system in the office and perform basic CAD drafting to draft field drawing of site. Extended hours while on site may be necessary to complete surveys on a timely basis. Maintain field equipment and trucks stocked and in good, clean condition Report to work to join your daily field crew team When work load is slow, ability to step in and do miscellaneous proactive tasks such as cleaning and washing work vans, tying lath, sweeping and washing garage floors Qualifications :
Prior use of, or knowledge of, survey grade GPS equipment and Total stations is preferred, but not required 2 years field surveying experience or Land Surveying degree preferred, but not necessary. Positive mental attitude Basic math skills Enjoy working outside in all the elements and terrain year round Ability to work well with crew members and office personnel Basic computer knowledge and abilities Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, ability to swing 8 pound maul while on-site staking, ice and snow removal, bending, carrying equipment or supplies and the ability to walk long distances and/or stand for long periods of time Ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays, if necessary Valid Minnesota Drivers License.
