The role of the Financial Services Consulting Technical Lead is critical in driving our growth by helping our clients with payments innovation, compliance and security, operational improvement, business growth, technological transformation, improving customer experience, and enhancing client relationships. By spearheading digital payment initiatives and delivering tailored solutions, you'll contribute to organizational success, client satisfaction, and industry leadership in the dynamic and rapidly evolving payments landscape.
Once You Are Here, You Will:
• Lead and support credentialling conversations with prospective clients. Support business development activities by contributing to client proposals
• Engage with financial institutions and merchants to understand their payments requirements, identifying opportunities for modernization and improvement
• Lead project teams to deliver payments modernization projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of high-quality results
• Design and develop payments architecture solutions that meet clients' business needs, leveraging industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing expert guidance and thought leadership on payments industry trends and best practices
• Stay current with industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to inform solution design and delivery
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, solution proposals, and project plans
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members, supporting their growth and development
• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by sharing your expertise through publications, presentations, and participation in industry conferences
• Drive revenue generation through your technical expertise and ability to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in payments architecture, with a focus on modernization and digital transformation
• Technical background in payments systems, including card networks, payment schemes, and payment processing technologies
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO8583, and ISO 20022
• Experience with cloud-based payments platforms, APIs, and microservices architecture
• Experience leading project teams and delivering payments modernization projects
• Experience with business and technology for payments rails such as ACH, Wire, Card, RTP, FedNow
• Experience with legacy and emerging payment areas of focus (including Real Time Payments, Mobile Wallets, Payment Hubs, ISO 20022 Standards, and Open Banking, etc.)
Travel requirements:10-20%, dependent on client needs and project requirements

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $147,000-$302,500. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
