Summary:: The Finger Pull Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the finger pull machine to produce high-quality components for furniture and panels. The ideal candidate will have experience operating similar machinery, possess strong technical skills, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Set up and operate the finger pull machine according to established procedures and specifications. Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and product specifications. Monitor machine operations to detect and correct malfunctions or discrepancies. Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for accuracy, dimensions, and quality standards. Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies to the supervisor. Maintain accurate records of production output and quality checks. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately. Participate in safety training sessions and comply with company policies and regulations. Production Support: Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Assist in the training of new operators as needed. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about production issues and improvements. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production output. Complete required production and quality control reports accurately and on time. Assist in inventory management by reporting material usage and stock levels. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Previous experience operating finger pull machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the panel and furniture component industry is a plus. Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs) safely. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Certifications: Relevant technical certifications are a plus but not required. Working Conditions: Physical work environment requiring standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
