Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant with robust GL experience to join our team
The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation, while supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
Key Responsibilities of the Fixed Assets Accountant:
Fixed Asset Management:
- Oversee the capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
General Ledger Support:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to fixed assets and depreciation expenses.
- Reconcile fixed asset accounts to the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
Qualifications of the Fixed Assets Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting and general ledger responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
