Memorial Hermann Life Flight is a CAMTS accredited, critical care, air medical transport service based in Houston, Texas.
We serve the community within a 150-mile radius of the Texas Medical Center with helicopters and worldwide using fixed-wing transport.
*Will float between 3 bases within the same vicinity
*Day shift, 12 hours, 5a or 6a start times
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a Paramedic training program.
Certified as a Paramedic in the Texas Department of Health.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Required to obtain within eighteen months of hire: audit ATLS and obtain FP-C and PHTLS.
Minimum experience three to five years as in-charge paramedic ALS 911 service, will consider MICU transport service experience.

Physical requirements: Maintains current state of physical and mental well being.
Able to lift at least fifty pounds.

Standard aircraft seat belts will fit without alterations.
Able to function in the cabin of an aircraft without physical restrictions.
Meets weight requirements of less than 230 pounds.
Principle Accountabilities: Delivers appropriate care to patients, at a competent level, according to the Skills Inventory and the age and needs of the patient/population served.
Coordinates the planning for the delivery of patient treatment by the multidisciplinary team and administers appropriate clinical decisions in the planning and delivery of care, utilizing existing resources and staff, and setting appropriate priorities; participates in the development of clinical pathways and monitoring of performance outcomes.
Directs the healthcare team in attaining positive outcomes, including meeting treatment goals; develops/implements transfer plans; evaluates the quality of patient care and contributes to the revision of standards of care.
Assists the Chief Flight Nurse with projects or duties as assigned.
Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time/supply management and accuracy of practice.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
