JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Floor Technician is to maintain CARTI's carpets and hard flooring surfaces in a clean, sanitized, and attractive appearance. The floor technician may also assist in other Environmental Services duties as needed.This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.Responds to calls for housekeeping issues.Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow team members and others.Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors including sweeping, wet/dry mopping, stripping/waxing floors, buffing floors, shampooing carpet, cleaning/disinfecting vertical and horizontal surfaces, and vacuuming.Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.Move furniture and other objects to facilitate floor care.Use and maintain equipment properly.Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.Work without normal supervision.Maintains equipment and wears protective clothing as required by the work environment or safety regulations.May train workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the premises.Communicate daily with applicable CARTI staff on cleaning and scheduling.Complete Daily Task Sheet.Responds to guest queries and requests.Some travel to clinics for floor maintenance as requested by management.Performs other duties as assigned.
