Seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Food Labeling Technician to join our R&D team. In this entry-level position, the candidate will work within the labeling team and be responsible for ensuring that all food products are accurately labeled in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. \n Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited toReview and verify product labels for accuracy and compliance with FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulationsAssist in the development and updating of labeling templates and materialsCoordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure that labeling meets all product specificationsPerform regular audits of labels and ingredient statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issuesMaintain accurate records of labeling processes, including batch numbers, revisions, and compliance checksAssist in the training related to labeling procedures and best practices when neededCollaborate with other departments, such as production and procurement, to gather necessary information for accurate labelingAssist in coordinating meal label updates to support supply chain adjustments, formula modifications, and ingredient changes, ensuring clear communicationPerform other duties as assigned or adapt to evolving needs to support the department's goals and objectives Required Skills and Experience Associates degree or equivalent experienceBasic knowledge of food labeling regulations and industry standardsStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Experience with data entry and document management systemsBasic understanding of nutritional information and ingredient declarationsWorking knowledge of general mathematicsAbility to work in cold environments, prolonged standing, and lift or move objects up to 30 lbsAbility to travel, overnight 15% of the time, for conferences and project-related activities to help support the company's goals and quality production related to labeling Preferred Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a food production or labeling environment1-2 years' labeling experience Physical RequirementsRepetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingersSedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periodsVisual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
