FSQA TECHNICIAN SWING SHIFT ANACORTES WATrident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. This job does not provide room and board Summary: The FSQA Technician conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of production processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities: Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, weight, dimension, and texture.Reviews purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company policies and procedures.Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities, and quantities inspected or graded.Applies proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation. Performs weekly pest control and documents findings.Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management.Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.Maintains a working knowledge of company, government, and industry quality assurance codes and standards.Pulls samples from finished goods, inspects labels, date codes, package integrity, count, and organoleptic evaluation of product.Additional Responsibilities: Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.At some locations: May perform weekly pest control and document findings.This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $19 to $25.16.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years in a similar FSQA roleIndustry-specific experiencePhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects:
