About the Role The Company is seeking a General Counsel with a background in food manufacturing industry experience to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of legal matters, including negotiating settlements for legal disputes, ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations, and managing the company's legal affairs, such as risk management and dispute resolution.
This role also involves the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures, as well as providing training to employees on legal and regulatory matters.
Applicants must have a J.D.
degree from an accredited law school, be in good standing with the CA State Bar, and have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the field.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial contract negotiation, previous experience as a litigator, and some exposure to employment law.
The role requires outstanding negotiating, communication, drafting, and writing skills, as well as the ability to manage and drive forward ongoing litigation.
The General Counsel will also be expected to oversee, advise, and escalate collections, and to perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
