Our New York City office is looking for an Analyst to join the Renewable Energy Investments Group.
The Renewable Energy Investments Group originates, structures, syndicates and invests Morgan Stanley's capital across clean energy assets such as solar, wind, standalone batteries and fuel cells. With a growing portfolio of $5 Billion+ AUM, the group finances its clients' goals across grid decarbonization, energy transition and increased power demands across AI, cloud computing and data centers.
Responsibilities:
- Renewable energy market analysis spanning asset classes such as solar, wind, standalone battery storage, fuel cells and other clean energy generation
-Work on all aspects of renewable energy investing, inclusive of structuring, underwriting, technical due diligence, risk management etc.
-Work with complex financial models for asset performance forecasting
-Support investment committee memo preparation
- 1 year of experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking
- Bachelor's degree is required – an Undergraduate and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or related field is preferred
- You have an ability to manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions
- Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard
- Extraordinarily high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Interest in developing a career in Global Capital Markets
- Series licensing or must obtain
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
