Government Sales Manager

MAGNIFY is seeking a talented, productive Government Sales Manager to join our Fredericksburg, VA client's team!
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an industry leading organization in the distribution field!
The primary responsibility of the BDM would be securing government contracts while also managing a variety of pre-existing contracts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a "Hunter" who enjoys researching potential clientele to identify key points of contact, setting up meetings, and building strong business relationships!
In addition, they offer highly competitive compensation base + commissions with OTE of $150K-$200K!
Travel needs for this position may be at or exceeding 50%.
The ideal candidate must have: Previous experience working with government contractsMinimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally at the Senior, Director, etc.
level Responsibilities: Performing market research and collaboration with partner organizations to identify potential areas of opportunityConsistent outreach to potential, new, and existing clientele to arrange meetings designed to better understand clients' needsAttending meetings with, and presenting to, new and/or existing clienteleMaintaining existing relationships to ensure continued business opportunitiesWork to develop new sales areas and marketsTracking, analysis, and reporting on sales performanceNegotiating terms for contractsContinued evaluation of current market, marketing tools, and market trends to maintain relevancy and brand recognition Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years in high-level sales role (ideally Senior, Director, etc.
)Experience working with government contractsStrong presentation skills, communication skills, and an ability to quickly establish strong business relationshipsCritical thinking, and analytical skillsFlexibility and willingness to take initiative, going above and beyond when necessary to meet client needs
