Job Description: The Graduate Student Recruiter is responsible for identifying and recruiting qualified students to graduate programs. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of the graduate degree marketplace, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should have a genuine enthusiasm for recruitment, a personable approach, and experience meeting enrollment targets.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Responsibilities: Prospect Outreach and Application Coaching: Implement recruitment strategies for traditional and non-traditional student populations to meet outreach and enrollment targets for assigned programs within their portfolio. Identify and recruit prospective students for graduate degree programs. Represent and market the graduate programs to prospective students, businesses, community groups, and other targeted audiences. Contribute to the planning and executing of activities and special events designed to enhance enrollment, including campus visits and orientation events. Coordinate marketing and recruiting efforts with other marketing and enrollment staff and program faculty. Assist in coordinating and hosting recruitment events, including online or in-person information sessions, with registration communications, invitations, and follow-up. Collaborate with Program Directors and Admissions team to ensure a smooth transition from prospective applicant to enrolled student. Successfully manage applicant pools, utilizing campus administrative software and consistent strategic communication, including in-person appointments, phone calls, direct mail, email, and social media, all to encourage applications for admission and enrollment. Accurately counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and financial aid information. Answer inquiries and educate prospective students on application requirements, admission process, and program details, and help prospective students determine best fit. Complete routine office work and reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedules, travel, special programs, and professional development. Data Tracking and Analysis: Monitor and track recruitment and applications and report findings to management. Present reports and data regularly and as needed. Compile and analyze data to inform strategic directions and action to positively impact enrollment. Attend Recruitment Events: Represent the University effectively in a variety of settings across modalities. Attend college fairs and other off-campus recruitment events. Involves local travel and occasional out-of-town travel. Occasional evening and weekend work. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present information clearly and concisely. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree. Ability to work under tight deadlines, and meet goals. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organization and time management skills. Highly attentive to detail and dependability. Experience with social media content creation. Experience with media graphics and engaging video production. Strong customer service orientation and sensitivity to the needs of working professionals. Special Requirements: Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus the minimum required years of experience.
