The Grinding Operator at Tangent plays a vital role in our sustainability efforts by operating machinery to grind plastic scrap into reusable materials.
Their work will contribute to reducing waste and promoting environmentally responsible practices.
The grinding equipment must be prepped, continuously fed material, and cleaned safely.

•Control Box Operation: Manage machine functions by operating the control box and optimizing grinding process settings for flow and speed.
•Basic Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance to keep the equipment running smoothly and maintain a clean work area by regularly sweeping and tidying up debris.
•Prepare Boxes: Assemble and bag boxes for ground material.
Identify unusable or dirty boxes and take measures to clean or discard them.
•Color Sorting: Select and sort materials by color before feeding.
•Belt Monitoring to Prevent Jams: Continuously check the conveyor belt for Metal, Oversized Scrap, and Contaminants, promptly removing any obstructions.
•Saw Cutting (if applicable): Conduct saw cutting for larger scrap materials as needed.
