Role OverviewThe Head of Curriculum and Operations will oversee both the curriculum development and operational oversight of the Indigo Research program. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of driving strategic growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering high-quality educational experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management Team Leadership:Build and manage a high-performing team responsible for mentor recruitment, student-mentor pairing, and overall program operations. Process Optimization: Analyze and streamline operational workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement automation where possible. Student and Mentor Experience: Ensure a high level of support and satisfaction for both students and mentors. Address issues promptly and effectively, and seek feedback proactively from stakeholders across the organization. Performance Monitoring: Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mentor allocations, session ratings, and student progress. Ensure timely and accurate reporting. Mentor Recruitment and Management Recruitment: Build and manage a high-performing team responsible for mentor recruitment, student-mentor pairing, and overall program operations. Onboarding: Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding process for new mentors, ensuring they are well-equipped to support students. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for mentors to maintain high standards of mentorship. Retention: Implement strategies to retain top mentors and maintain high levels of mentor satisfaction. Curriculum Development Design and Implement Curriculum: Work with talented contractors to develop and refine curriculum materials to support students in various research disciplines. Ensure foundational research skills are integrated across all subjects. Quality Control: Establish standards for curriculum quality and ensure consistency in delivery. Mentor Support: Provide resources and training for mentors to effectively guide students through their research projects. Outcome Tracking: Develop methods to track and evaluate student outcomes, monitor and ensure mentor usage of our curriculum, and drive continuous improvement of the curriculum. QualificationsEducational Background: Advanced degree in Education, Management, or a related field preferred. Doctorate strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in education or a related sector. Proven track record in curriculum development and operations management.
Skills: 1. Strong organizational and planning skills.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other relevant software.
4. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
