Head of Demand Generation

Description

Context:

Sunstone Therapies is the leader in the delivery of psychedelic-assisted therapy in the medical setting, focusing on the development and implementation of clinical trials today, and moving towards clinical delivery as therapies are approved. We currently have one site with roughly 30 employees (not including trainee therapists) with plans to build our team and expand to two more sites in 2025. We are planning for further growth as we expand our clinical research partnerships and prepare for the future commercialization of psychedelic-assisted therapies.

Scope:

As the Head of Marketing and Demand Generation, you will lead the company's efforts in developing and executing comprehensive patient acquisition and referral strategies to support this next phase of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for mental health and wellness.

To be successful in this role in this growth stage start-up, the candidate must be a detail-oriented self-starter and problem solver, be able to shift projects and priorities rapidly to meet emerging needs and approach the work with the values of love and rigor, which are essential to the Sunstone culture.

Job activities include but are not limited to:

Demand Generation Strategy:

Develop and implement a robust demand generation strategy specifically tailored to attract and engage potential referral partners and patients for psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Identify and segment target audiences, creating detailed personas to guide marketing efforts and ensure messaging resonates with potential patients and referral partners.

Multi-Channel Campaign Execution:

Plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across various digital channels, including email, social media, SEO, PPC, content marketing, and webinars.

Coordinate with content creators, designers, and external agencies to produce high-quality, compliant marketing materials that drive engagement and conversions.

Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continually refine campaign elements for maximum effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical companies.

Collaborate with these stakeholders to develop co-marketing initiatives, educational materials, and joint events that promote the benefits of psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the latest clinical research and advancements in the field, leveraging partnerships to enhance credibility and reach.

Lead Generation and Nurturing:

Design and implement lead generation programs that effectively capture and nurture leads through the entire patient journey, from initial awareness to booking a consultation.

Utilize marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) to create and manage workflows that streamline lead capture, scoring, and follow-up processes.

Collaborate with sales and clinical teams to ensure seamless handoff and effective follow-up on leads, providing necessary support to convert leads into patients.

Data-Driven Insights and Analytics:

Use advanced analytics tools to track and measure the performance of demand generation campaigns, providing insights on engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.

Develop detailed reports and dashboards to present findings to senior leadership, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and actionable recommendations.

Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, patient preferences, and emerging opportunities.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage the demand generation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various campaigns and initiatives.

Monitor expenditures and adjust spending as needed to maximize ROI and stay within budget.

Provide regular budget reports to senior leadership, highlighting key expenditures and financial performance.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills, experience and competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation strategies.

Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including familiarity with health systems, physician practices, and biotech companies.

Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to drive business growth.
Clinical Research experience highly preferred
