Head of Operations Vimaan is looking to add a Head of Operations to its Executive team. The candidate is expected to lead and oversee all Operations for the company, including customer installations and deployments, customer interface management, SLA monitoring and maintenance, field operations, continuous improvement, and supply chain development and procurement. The Head of Operations will also serve as the key interface between Engineering and the field, providing feedback for technology enhancements, prioritization and resource allocation.
Head of Operations Responsibilities Lead the deployment of Vimaan solutions at customer sites with a critical focus on standardizing processes and reducing project implementation times to a predictable timeline. Lead and oversee all aspects of customer interfaces — including for projects and program management, weekly or monthly reporting and dashboards, and other communications – with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction and delight. Lead the Field Operations teams to provide support to customer implementations, SLA maintenance and support for Engineering – with the goal of maximizing technology efficiency and minimizing manual intervention. Lead the Procurement and Supply Chain efforts to qualify vendors, build security, predictability into the procurement process, and work with Engineering towards continuous cost reductions and robustness improvements. Lead the Customer Engineering and Operations Excellence organizations, whose focus is to continuously monitor, maintain and improve performance, efficiency and cost at customer sites and to generate and track KPIs for all relevant metrics related to Operations. Head of Operations Candidate Profile Strong Engineering background with extensive experience in an Operations in a leadership role. Ability to grasp and manage complex customer delivery pipeline that integrates hardware, software and customer workflows is a must. Experience in supply chains, warehouse logistics and computer vision is a strong plus. Strong technical background with a desire to build a thorough understanding of Company's product capabilities and map it against operational impact in the field. Ardent customer advocate with heavy focus on customer delight; capable of understanding and focusing on customer value derived from Vimaan's products. Ability to break down and bring field problems back to Engineering and participate in improvement roadmaps. Deeply hands-on and execution focused – capable of both performing and overseeing all aspects of Operations. Strong expertise and familiarity with developing and managing against operational KPIs, Critical to Quality metrics, cost tracking and continuous improvement. Strong practitioner of project planning tools with heavy emphasis on developing, tracking and reporting of project status – both internally and with customer. Strong practitioner of traditional Quality Management tools and Six Sigma processes, including SQC and CAPA processes. Excellent strategic and tactical business-oriented thinker; willing and able to learn on the fly and rapidly course correct towards a goal of converging to effective solutions for unanticipated problems. Trustworthy ambassador for the Company; able to accurately represent Company in all aspects of customer communications. Proven ability to stay focused on internal operational goals to enable financial targets. Highly organized and effective communicator; capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently. Track record of growth and personal and corporate success. Full time Work from Office at HQ is a must.
