Hybrid Paralegal / Legal Assistant - Great Neck Real Estate Firm - $70k-$80k We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegal/Legal Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel at our client's real estate firm in Great Neck, NY.
This role will support high-level legal functions, manage administrative tasks, and assist with real estate transaction processes.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate, experience in real estate, and a demonstrated ability to provide executive support.
This firm offers a hybrid office schedule allowing one day of remote work per week.
Primary Job Functions: Executive Support: Provide direct administrative support to the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, including calendar management, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks.
Coordinate travel arrangements, manage expense reporting, and handle confidential correspondence.Document Preparation and Management: Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as contracts, leases, closing statements, and compliance forms.
Ensure accurate and organized filing and storage of legal documents, both digital and physical.Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct research on relevant real estate laws, zoning ordinances, property ownership, and compliance matters.
Summarize and present findings to assist legal counsel in decision-making.Transaction Coordination: Assist with all stages of real estate transactions, including gathering necessary documentation, managing timelines, and communicating with clients, brokers, and third parties.
Prepare and monitor checklists for transaction milestones to ensure seamless closings.Administrative Assistance: Schedule and coordinate meetings, manage reminders for deadlines, and prepare legal files for meetings.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications to support the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel's work.Client and Vendor Communication: Act as a liaison between the legal team, clients, vendors, and government agencies.
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and assist in coordinating follow-ups as needed.File and Database Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files.
Regularly update case management and document-tracking systems to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, with direct experience supporting senior legal executives preferred.Knowledge of real estate law, contracts, and document management practices, a plus.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal research databases.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor suitable for high-level executive interaction. Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
