Modify the general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and appropriate support. Monitor and assess students academic progress, behavioral development, and social-emotional needs, making adjustments to instruction and interventions as needed. Collaborate with general education teachers, school counselors, administrators, and other support staff to create a holistic, integrated educational experience for students. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-wide team meetings to communicate student progress and work toward solutions for any challenges. Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records, including IEP documentation, progress reports, and behavioral plans. Implement classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and a safe, inclusive learning environment. Support students' social and emotional development by using effective teaching strategies and resources, as well as encouraging self-advocacy and independence. Stay informed of the latest research, best practices, and state requirements in special education, incorporating new strategies into teaching practices.
