Benesch is proud to announce the opening for an Information Governance Mobility Specialist in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.
Position Summary: Do you have a passion for protecting and securing digital data? Do you like collaborating with different departments to ensure the integrity of data through its management, transfer and retention? Then you may be interested in our Information Governance Mobility Specialist position. This role is perfect for the individual looking to play a crucial role in Benesch's Cleveland office.
The Information Governance Mobility Specialist is responsible for the intake, management, protection, retention, transfer, and disposition of data across the Firm. This position requires strong confidentiality and digital technology skills. This role involves collaboration between the firm's Records Department, Risk Management Department, and IT Department.
Essential Functions : 1. Management of digital data, including, but not limited to, the bulk import and export of files into and out of iManage, network shares, SaaS platforms such as Citrix ShareFile and email archive.
2. Manages attorney onboarding and departures, collaborating with the Records Manager.
3. Transfers electronic client matter files to external parties in accordance with established procedures.
4. Establishes procedures to manage data on network shares and promotes the use of appropriate Firm policies.
5. Works with attorneys, legal staff, clients, vendors, and various business units throughout the Firm to provide the appropriate security and compliance of data entrusted to the Firm.
6. Assists with administration of Firm collaboration and file sharing tools.
7. Executes data retention and destruction initiatives and projects.
Additional Responsibilities : 1. Provides individual and special project request services as needed.
2. Proficient in all department and firm policies and software.
3. Demonstrates excellent client service and communication skills.
4. Maintains a complete understanding of firm goals and fosters and embraces the Benesch culture.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications : The Information Governance Mobility Specialist must have a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years' of law firm or Information Technology experience. Must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task. Must possess an excellent customer service attitude.
