Job Summary

RouteOne requires an Infrastructure Architect to fill a crucial role in designing and maintaining our IT infrastructure across multiple environments.
This role will drive cloud adaption and ensure the infrastructure is scalable, flexible and redundant and can support the required technology and security standards and policies.
Good system administration, networking, technical operations, and ability to communicate and work with others are critical for success

Job Responsibilities Responsible for designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's business needs.
Responsible for Designing and implementing physical and virtual server infrastructure.
Responsible for developing disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure systems.
Responsible for working with the team to design and implement network infrastructure solutions, such as firewalls and VPNs.
Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.
Support operational and security policies to mitigate risk in cloud-hosted environments Ensuring compliance with banking industry standards and security policies.
Work with the team to extend existing infrastructure to leverage cloud services (primarily AWS).
Work with the team to implement and maintain cloud-based solutions, such as AWS or Azure Work with the team to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the organization's IT infrastructure.
Collaborating with other IT professionals, such as DevOps engineers, Systems Engineers, software developers and network engineers, to ensure the integration of IT infrastructure solutions Participate in on-call escalation to troubleshoot customer-facing issues regarding the cloud environments Providing technical support and guidance to other IT professionals Work with the team to create and utilize tools to monitor applications and services in the cloud, including system health indicators, trend identification, and anomaly detection.
Knowledge Strong knowledge of Virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V Disaster recovery solutions, such as Veeam and Zerto Knowledge and experience with container technologies - Docker and Kubernetes preferred.
Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and measures to prevent them, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
Working knowledge of both cloud and on-premise hosting.
Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
Well-versed in network infrastructure technologies (firewalls, switches, and routers) and protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP.
Knowledge of storage protocols, architecture, and technologies such as SAN, NAS, RAID, and cloud storage.
Solid understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Strong working experience with server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux, Unix Knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Middleware and Application Servers: you should have a good understanding of application servers and middleware such as JBoss, WebSphere, and Tomcat.
Web Servers and Load Balancers: you should have experience with web servers such as Apache and Nginx, as well as load balancers such as F5 and HAProxy.
Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
Cloud-based solutions, such as AWS and Azure AWS Certified Solution Architect or similar experience.
Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to think strategically and align infrastructure with business objectives.
Effective communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot infrastructure problems and come up with practical solutions.
Ability to lead and manage technical professionals, guiding them towards achieving project goals.
Take creative approaches to problem-solving, exploring unconventional solutions to complex issues.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of infrastructure design and implementation is precise and accurate.
Ability to manage your time effectively, juggling multiple projects and delivering them on time.

Must foster a collaborative and collegial atmosphere within a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Other Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
15+ years of experience.
