Job Description
The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in driving sales growth by building relationships with customers, providing expert product knowledge, and ensuring a seamless sales process The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with Account Management, Customer Success, and other departments to support our customers' needs and contribute to the overall success of Benchmark. This role reports directly to the VP Sales & Marketing.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement: Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively reach out to potential customers via phone, email, and other communication channels
Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our product lines, including machine control systems, construction tools, and related equipment to effectively assist customers with their needs
Sales Process: Guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to order fulfillment, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Order Management: Process orders accurately and efficiently, coordinating with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of products.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with costumes to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success and Account Management, providing support and sharing information to ensure a unified approach to customer service
Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales metrics, including pipeline management, customer feedback, and market trends
Continual Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and competitive offerings to provide informed recommendations to customers
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
1 - 3 years proven experience in an inside sales role, construction equipment or related industry experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Problem solving mindset with the ability to handle customer inquiries effectively
