Qualifications: Required:
BS/BSNMinimum of three years current experience in areas of specialization requiredOne-year experience with demonstrated leadership/management requiredCertifications and Licenses Required: BLS and ACLS through AHAActive New Jersey Registered Nurse LicensePreferred: ED degree in Nursing or related health field preferredIf Masters is non-nursing, BSN preferredMinimum of one-year education, teaching, preceptor or other experienceScheduling Requirements: Day shift, Per DiemEssential Functions: Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments i.e., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas - and medical errors, etc.,
Collaborates with the patient, family and other health care providers in achieving optimal patient outcomesCompletes assessment of competency skills on all staff on an annual basisConsults with the staff nurse, Clinical Directors, physicians, administrators, other professionals and health care agencies on practice related issues, as appropriateContributes to performance evaluations of nursing staff as appropriateCoordinates and facilitates nursing orientation in collaboration with Clinical Director, orientee and preceptorCoordinates and participates in general nursing education programs, i,eorientationDevelops and conducts educational programs based on skills, knowledge base and educational needs of the nursing staff, patients and familiesDevelops nursing standards of practice, standards of patient care and policies and procedures with staff registered nursesAssist with implementation through educationEnhances own professional growth and development through continuing education, independent study and participation in professional organizationsOther duties as assigned by DirectorChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
