ORGANIZATION SUMMARY World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.
Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability. POSITION SUMMARY: The Crisis Intervention Specialist provides short-term case management and administers direct financial assistance for qualifying World Relief clients. Areas of case management support include housing security, food security, and medical bill navigation. This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until September 29, 2025, and contingent upon funding extension.
\n ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop a Direct Financial Assistance screening tool to determine client program eligibility.   Evaluate client referrals for Direct Financial Assistance.   Assist client in the creation and completion of short-term goals.   Initiate client referrals to in-house services or community resources as needed.    Create check requests and track direct financial assistance spending.   Maintain client files in case management database.    Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.   Collaborate with other World Relief staff regarding program design and client service provision related to housing, food, and financial security.    Attend community of practice meetings with nationwide service providers.   Other duties as assigned.  JOB REQUIREMENTS:Mature and personal Christian faithCommitted to the mission, vision, and values of World ReliefDesire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communitiesAble to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation documentBasic proficiency MS Office programs.  Intermediate speed typing skills (30-40 words per minute).  Detail oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks and demands. Enjoy working in a fast paced, challenging, and multi-cultural environment.  Able to work well with others in a professional, friendly, and flexible manner. Ability to problem solve independently and improve office functions independently. Valid driver's license, driving required to transport clients to appointments as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Preferred bilingual in English and: (Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda).   Ability to compassionately engage with newly arrived refugees and immigrant population.  
\n$20 - $22 an hour
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
