The IT Field Training Consultant provides tailored on-the-job IT training on the navify lab operations to customers' laboratory staff during initial implementation, go-live, and post go-live as required. This position in the Roche Support Network (RSN) partners with several internal groups (commercial project management office, IT sales, commercial education group, and marketing management) to provide customized remote and onsite training to new customers and customers with highly complex workflows.
This field-based position will require approximately 50-70% travel, including overnights, within the US. Some international travel may also be required. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of a major, US metropolitan airport. JOB FACTS Collaborates with IT sales around upcoming and ongoing customer training needs within supported region Consults with customers to understand their specific lab's workflow and how the Roche IT solution fits and controls it Identifies new customer IT training needs and participates in standard development to meet those needs Creates tailored training plans for customers based on their specific lab needs Delivers onsite and remote customer training sessions Incorporates lab-specific knowledge to deliver tailored customer on-the-job customer training and ensures training deadlines are met Assists key operators with bench tech training both as part of initial implementation and as ongoing needs arise due to staff turnover. Assists customers with minor changes to system post implementation as scoped in customer training plans, lifecycle management training, and other means to increase customer self-sufficiency Serves as the local training resource to support customers with reinforcement training needs and drives customer-to-customer knowledge sharing across the region WHO YOU ARE Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent education and work experience 5 years of progressive experience within the diagnostics industry or other relevant progressive experience Advanced knowledge in an area of specialty as demonstrated through an advanced degree and/or in-depth technical experience in the support of laboratory clinical chemistry, immunology, information technology, molecular, tissue and/or automation systems Preferred Qualifications Currently reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport in the US Able and willing to travel 50-70%, including overnight and some international travel Experience using and/or configuring middleware solutions, ideally cobas infinity laboratory solution Specialized, advanced knowledge of clinical chemistry and immunology laboratory workflows, ideally on Roche platforms Experience in working in an agile environment Former technical IT or laboratory training experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Company car is provided with this position. This is a field-based, remote position. Relocation benefits are not offered for this position The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $91,100 - $169,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
