Why This Role Matters The function of the Junior Writer role within the Proposals Department is to project manage, write, and assemble business documents to aid Specialists and Executives convince potential consignors that Christie's is the best choice to sell their property. This role will also provide integral support to other members of the team in preparing proposals for sale.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Project manage, assemble, and organize written letters, proposals for sale, digital presentations, agendas, market reports, timelines, comp sheets, and myriad other business-getting tools for Specialists and Executives across all areas of the business.Lead meetings with specialists of various departments to strategize, structure proposals and project timetables.Gather, analyze, and visualize market data to craft compelling arguments, both for own proposals and those of other team members.Interact with Specialists to incorporate feedback on own documents and for other team members.Strategize and coordinate with Proposals Designers to convey the appropriate style and ensure that all accompanying materials are completed in a timely fashion.Provide administrative support to team members in the preparation of proposals.Oversee scanning of images for the department.Proofread documents for own projects as well as for other team members.Collaborate with other members of the Proposals team on larger projects, either as a team leader or in an assisting role, depending on the project.Other duties as assigned by Manager.The Candidate Must have a Bachelor of Arts Degree.Minimum one year of relevant work experience preferred.Knowledge of Mac computers and software programs such as InDesign, Excel (advanced knowledge preferred), Word, PowerPoint, and Photoshop preferred.Excellent writing/communications ability.Effective project management skills and ability to lead meetings.Strong analytical skills to evaluate a variety of statistics relating to Christie's performance.Basic knowledge of or interest in the auction/art market.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent time management and ability to work under extremely tight deadlines and intense pressure.Motivated, extremely efficient, proactive, and a great team player.Fluent in English.Christie's, Inc. is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding employment discrimination, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. The posted salary range does not include discretionary bonus compensation and overtime pay. Compensation RangeHourly: $24.00 - $26.00
