JOB CODE: (680415_AZ) Lab/Director of Laboratory - ASCP
LOCATION: Pima County (AZ)
An established Health System is seeking an experienced Lab Director to join their team and oversee and manage the quality and quantity of work performed in all areas of the laboratory. Ensures laboratory practices focus on and guarantee patient safety. Responsible for specimen collection and laboratory testing performed on all patients from neonates to geriatric patients. Responsible for the Health System's Laboratory technical development, implementation and integration within areas of technical expertise, to include instrument acquisition, logistic support and laboratory information systems integration. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related Health Science Specialty Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor
Master's Degree in Allied Health Specialty or Health Administration/Business is preferred
Medical Technologist- minimum of five (5) years of progressive supervisory/management experience in a primary care facility
Prior Laboratory Director experience is preferred
Must be Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent. Once certified, no annual renewals are required.
