The Shipping & Receiving Clerk role is support within the Lab Services Division. Typical assignments are focused on customer service, package receipt, and on-site delivery tasks. This energetic and detail-oriented person will be part of a larger biotech services company, providing fast-paced inbound and shipping needs for multiple tenants via the operation of a centralized Shipping & Receiving area.
This role is for a Full-Time (40 hour/week), Non-Exempt, Hourly S&R position.
Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities We are seeking a candidate to perform general facilities duties which primarily include, but are not limited to:
Receiving packages, entering into Shipping & Receiving tracking database and delivering to site tenants in a professional mannerProcessing pre-packaged outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, promptness, accountability, and condition of shipments meet established standardsUtilizing company routines and materials management technologies to ensure goods securityActing as an on-site Point-of-Contact for end users regarding Shipping & Receiving supportEscorting delivery personnel and special equipment when necessarySafely utilizing pallet jacks, delivery carts, and forklifts, and other S&R equipmentFollowing site-specific SOPs, work procedures, and Shipping & Receiving programsUnder the supervision of the S&R Supervisor, maintaining shipping and receiving equipmentTraveling between client locations as necessaryEnsuring work areas are clean, organized, and safePerforming additional support-level and in-scope S&R tasks as necessaryThis position reports to: Shipping & Receiving ManagerThis position has no direct reportsMinimum Training, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
