We are looking for a Lab Scientist in a supporting role to assist in executing process development projects, process improvement, scale down, technology transfer, and support of manufacturing operations for our LA Area client.
The requirement that a candidate must already live within driving distance from the Glendale LA client site is non-negotiable and an absolute must-have requirement. Position Overview:Length of Contract – 9 monthsExperience Level –Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2+ years of relevant experience.Location – Los Angeles (full-time onsite)Candidate must already live within driving distance from the Glendale LA client siteSchedule – Mon-Fri daytime (40 hours per week)Resource available to start January 2025Responsibilities:Performs experiments in small scale to assess process changes/improvements.Evaluates performance and suitability of new technologies and process changes by testing and reporting different critical parameters. Performs trials and experiments, participate into the design and scale-up of new technologies.Conducts routine bases analytical tests to evaluate and control product yield, purity and impurity profiles.Works closely with other Lab team members to support the upkeep, maintenance, and efficient utilization of the lab.Write SOPs, batch records, and develop research outlines for development projects.Utilize robust statistical analysis to draw appropriate conclusions from the data.Qualifications:Knowledge of protein purification techniques.Experience in protein process development.Knowledge of analytical tools for analysis of proteins.Experience with DOE (design of experiments), six sigma, and lean manufacturing a plus.Knowledge of GMPs.Good interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills.Able to work in cold environment.SALARY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $66,000 - $105,000 ANNUALLY FOR A W2 EMPLOYEE
