Here's what you'd do: The Operations Manager will manage all existing Landscape business and assist in management of future growth for the Branch. The ideal candidate would have industry knowledge and strong knowledge of plants and landscape maintenance. A formal education in Business, Horticulture, or equivalent work experience, with certifications such as QAL is a plus.
You'd be responsible for: Scheduling and routing work crews within budget guidelines and to meet the specifics of each contract. Field direction, through Account Managers and Production Managers to ensure assigned duties are completed within time and allocated labor hours. Ensuring crews have proper equipment to do their jobs safely, within regulatory compliance, and that all equipment is maintained properly. Supervision of Safety Compliance Programs, and training of staff and crews to ensure compliance with regulations, as well as efficient and safe work for the customer, job sites, and team members. This includes Supervision of compliance with Chemical Reporting requirements. Identifying team members who demonstrate leadership abilities and identify training opportunities for career path growth. Systemize procedures and daily routines as appropriate. Managing Inventory and Asset Management. Active management toward achievement of monthly budgets, and able to analyze job costs. Ensuring team members are both results oriented and able to operate as a team. Ensuring customers are satisfied through effective communication, relationship building, and regular customer and site contact. Supporting new business development and selling enhancement services to improve site conditions. Coordinating with Account Managers and customers to ensure that enhancement work is completed successfully, on budget, and on time. Managing recruitment, hiring, discipline, and terminations (with the support of Account Managers). You might be a good fit if you have: Minimum of five years managing commercial landscapes, and large multi-site or municipal contracts. Minimum of three to five years managing teams with responsibility managing key profit and loss metrics in landscape maintenance operations. Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service experience, including the ability to identify and resolve customer issues. Excellent communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license. Bachelor's degree in Business or Horticulture is a plus. Certifications in Landscape Maintenance and Irrigation preferred. Qualified Applicator License preferred.
