Job Description: Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Wage: $85,000 - $95,000 per year Lead Data Center Engineer As a Lead Data Center Engineer, you will oversee and manage electrical engineering projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various projects and initiatives. This includes working cross functionally with design teams, construction, commissioning & vendors. You will lead teams, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting electrical system audits, developing design standards, and supporting vendor management. Additionally, you will play a critical role in incident response, energy efficiency initiatives, and ensuring the successful commissioning of new data center facilities.
Minimum Qualifications 4 years
professional experience in data center design, construction, operations,
and maintenance of critical facilities (or related fields). Working knowledge
of medium and high voltage (3kV and above) substation design, mission
critical power distribution, generator power systems. Building
Management Systems, and safety requirements. Knowledge of
industry standards, building codes and safety standards. Strong
cross-discipline knowledge of complete critical facility systems. Strong
troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent
communication, presentation, project management, and reporting skills. Experience in
load management at the operations level within a critical facility. Desired Skills Strong Mechanical
and Electrical facility management, computer literate, professional
demeanor (talking with customers), professional. Previous data
center field engineer and/or O&M engineers highly desirable. Data Center
knowledge of electrical distribution, mechanical systems, stand-by
generation, and alarm interpretation from the critical environment. NOTE: Expected to
utilize EdgeOS as the primary system. Responsibilities Interpret
alerts/alarms from the facility, determine course of action via the
playbook or Regional Director. Schedule
preventative/ corrective maintenance and warranty work to subcontractors
through EdgeOS Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Administer EdgeOS
ticket management, creating/updating/completing work tasks according to
specific work procedures. Administer and
manage Change Control processes through EdgeOS. Preventing SLA
violations. Overlapping shift
coverage. Process customer
requests for logistics and Remote Hands. Schedule
sub-contractors as required to complete work tasks. Manage EdgeOS
ticket status for customer and internal purposes such as Remote Hands time
entries. Upload various
Field Services Reports from preventative maintenance and Remote Hands
contractors into EdgeOS. The Lead Data
Center Engineer is responsible for the Data Center "MIA" campus
(corresponding to works MIA01 and MIA02), and to develop other functions
that are indicated, inside and/or outside the Company's offices, according
to the verbal and written instructions received from your management. The Lead Data
Center Engineer is obliged to perform the functions of a Project Manager,
and the following, among others, will be included within his functions,
without those being understood as exhaustively listed: Manage shift
operations and schedule. Able to
communicate via phone and email in English. Delegate tasks
to team members Translate the
leadership vision to the work team. Operate, monitor
and maintain the Company's equipment Respond to
anomalies in the conditions that are indicated by the Data systems Monitor the
execution of tasks and team productivity, have complete knowledge of the
creation, closing and monitoring of "task requests" (WR, work requests). Initiate or
respond to work orders, track and verify completeness of work, perform
other associated tasks, and assume responsibilities to the extent
assigned by Company management. Execute tasks
under the direction of Salute and clients, as well as act as IT
administrator to the extent necessary to support them with internal
networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and workplace
telephone systems. Ensure that the
agreements and policies corresponding to the client's operational service
meet the necessary requirements. Act as the
primary point of contact between operational staff and suppliers in
support of MIA01 operations as required. Act as the
primary point of contact for all physical security events and incidents
on the MIA01 campus. Coordinate the
team in charge of data center and IT system support tasks and be in
charge of network devices, critical business processes and support
procedures for the delivery of products and services to consumers. Lead projects
and initiatives in electrical engineering. This includes performing
cross-functional work with design teams, construction teams,
commissioning teams and suppliers. Perform analysis
and audits of the Company's electrical systems, as well as lead
improvements in the system implemented in the company. Prepare
electrical specifications, as well as design criteria for system
modernization, providing future feedback to design centers. If you are a
