JOB SUMMARY:
Supports management in directing and coordinating the daily operation of assigned venue, including the operation and execution of entertainment shows. Use of advanced control systems for lighting, audio, video, lasers, special effects, and show action equipment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the operation of the assigned venue or event, which includes the Technical Booth utilizing the designated show control system, backstage show flow coordination, daily startup and pre/post show duties.
Plans and delegates work tasks. Delegates work assignments among qualified crewmembers. Communicates performance expectations in order to maintain show quality.
Responsible for ensuring all appropriate life safety system verifications have been met per checklists for each element.
Responsible for the appropriate maintenance of venue and equipment as assigned for proper operation, organization and cleanliness.
Accountable for assisting in maintaining shows or event specific inventory of all technical equipment and supplies.
Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Operation of the show control system within the assigned venue or event. Plan and delegate work tasks among qualified crewmembers. Ensure all life safety verifications are being maintained.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years' experience using advanced control systems, likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Prior experience on advanced show control systems such as Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride, Birket and Allen Bradley preferred.
Emergency Repairs, Parts Assembly, and networking preferred.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
